Just a quick delay repay question.
Yesterday evening I travelled from London Kings Cross to Redcar Central departing 1630 changing at Northallerton arriving at Redcar for 1947.
Obviously there were various issues, our LNER service was delayed getting into Northallerton but as our TPE...
If they're unable to offer alternative transportation, shouldn't they provide overnight lodging? It's concerning that a passenger has agreed to a contract that hasn't been honored; there's no justification for them to incur expenses due to the service provider's failure.

Times like that I wish the cheaper ticket from Saltburn to York was marked at 'route direct' rather than 'not via Darlington'. Would solve the issue of a direct train going via Darlington.
Does anyone know the reasoning behind having some of Scarborough workings done by 802s?
I would have thought it made more sense for the Manchester Airport to Saltburn service utilising the wires up to Northallerton
