Just found out that I've passed the medical and start the course next month! :D
Thanks for the stirling advice on this forum and good luck to those still going through the process!
Well, Ive just stepped out of my office and there is a bloody great DBS class 67 parked outside, not sure whether that's a good omen or what, I never did get the email receipt..
I called HR last week to see how long I could expect to stay in the talent pool before having to resit assessments and the guy said 12-18 months. He was also quick to let me know that there were no current opportunities.
Currently working as Customer Services Manager dealing with issues raised by Network Rail infrastructure maintenance teams. Have passed stages 1 & 2 and now sat in the EMT talent pool for trainee driver.
I recently sat stage 2 and had to do the interview first and I found it hard knowing that however great I was with the answers it may have all been in vain if I were to subsequently cock up the tests afterwards! If anything I felt more under pressure.
Advertised today on their website, anyone have any idea of the typical salary?
