Just to update everyone. I got an £80 penalty and £4.10 as the difference unpaid. Thanks for everyone's input

Hi, About 2 weeks ago I got the letter asking for my details. I was goin on holiday and rang them and they let me reply via email then they sent me their reply via email, £80 fine plus £4.10 for the fare not paid. Hope this helps

Taking quotes out of context isn't advice. Yes I will pay any penalty to avoid a criminal record. Yes I bought a ticket that was cheaper because 'at the time' I didn't have enough!
