Thanks everyone for all your feedback.
Firstly, just to be absolutely clear; I have never and would never intend to lie to a potential employer. I was simply trying to find out how people manage to get jobs away from where they currently live as where I live, I am extremely limited for options...
Thanks for your replies everyone, much appreciated.
I think my point was slightly taken the wrong way, I would have no intention of blagging my way into a job miles and miles from home and commuting each day, I fully understand the reasons for the rule and completely agree that safety is of...
Question is in the title really!
We all seem to know people who've landed their job by putting down their friens/cousins/sisters uncle twice removed address on the application form!
So how do you explain, for example, 'living' in Croydon and going to work every day in Newcastle?
I applied for this yesterday evening but my cousin tried to apply this afternoon and it said it was closed already! Not alot of chat on here surprisingly :-/ Have many other forum users applied?
Congratulations Jonnyboy, good luck with training. Out of interest, where abouts do you currently live?
Is anybody else who requested feedback still being ignored?
I couldn't agree more. I've found the HR to be by far the worst that I have experienced up to now, from the 5 companies I have had communications with.
I requested feedback via an email to Vimbai who I had received correspondence from and have heard nothing back since. It feels like the 6...
Maybe so but what about the people who are on here and haven't heard anything? They must be going crazy by now wondering what the deal is, I know I would be!!!
Any current Chiltern depot drivers on here who have been told they have been successful?
Just out of interest has anybody yet been told they've been successful for this? It's the end of the month today and the end of the typical office working week. I haven't heard anybody saying anything positive?
Sorry to hear Drh and to everyone else who received the dreaded email, I also got knocked back for this too. Heard on Tuesday afternoon. Have you only just found out? Has anybody actually heard they've been successful for this by the way?
I actually think that you guys who haven't heard a thing could actually be in a good position. They may have already decided on you as people they have picked, with a need to see pictures of the rest of us to decide who else will be the lucky ones...
A mate who is also in the running for this said he had an email asking for a photo of himself. I was asked to take one with me for interview but I haven't received an email from them as posted above. Maybe they didn't like me?!
Hi everyone. I'm a first time poster but long time reader of these forums. I just wanted to post to let you know that I have had an interview today for this position, I felt it went well. I was told that the standard has been really high and they have more than enough candidates to choose from...
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
