Hi I recently attended an assessment centre and was told that the results were held on a national database. Depending on the TOC you are applying for the results are valid from 18 months to 5 years. FCC for example will accept applications from those passing assessments from a maximum of 3 years.

I've been invited for an Assessment day on April 26th. Fingers crossed for me guys please! No mention of the dreaded mechanical test though on the letter - is that correct for those of you that have experienced this? How many prospective lady drivers out there?

Hi kebo, well done and congratulations! I hope you manage to secure a position in the very near future. Could I ask which depot you applied for? It's quite worrying if they say they have filled all their positions as I'm still waiting for an assessment date!

Hi Mike, I waited for over 7 weeks to hear anything. They contacted me via email and said that they would be in contact regarding attending the Assessment Centre. I know that they have had a huge amount of applicants - HR told me in excess of 5,000! Hope you hear soon.

Me too! Just heard today after waiting for over 7 weeks! I'm a female applicant and wondered if there are many other females out there applying for Trainee Train Driver positions?
