I notice the 3rd coach has an all blue exterior door at the rear, rather than silver like the rest, for non passenger use. Have they kept the buffets in?
Just for clarity, the floats/ takings leave the train with the staff, they don't stay onboard for the next crew. They are returned the depot by the crew they started with. So yes, tills need cashed before leaving the service. Be that mid journey or if someone is working the whole route depending...
I think the green band for the cycle storage is where the buffet currently is in the pictures. I may be wrong though. Taking out the buffet might be how they can fit 6 cycles in.
Just went on to try and make a seat reservation for a journey later in the year. Looks like the ability has now gone to do so independentlyfrom purchasing a ticket. Now need to call or email. This was a handy tool to use when using my staff travel card.
That train should still serve breakfast upto Preston. The rest of the day menu starts around 1100, on all 7 days. Some trains do change slightly earlier/ later.
You will likely be diverted via the East Coast Mainline which explains the earlier departure time. You wouldnt have a booking to Edinburgh on the Highlander. It is not an advertised stop apart from the Edinburgh to Fort William seats.
