Sure, the example I used is a bit extreme but it doesn't mean Bicester can't suffer from floods because the town has a network of streams going thru and around the place which have caused problems in the past. How do I know? Cos I live in the *#%@ hole!!! Lol.

Easier way to walk to Bicester Village is London rd towards town centre, turn left to go down Priory rd. Turn left again for Priory lane, by the White cottage is a lane that takes you to the back of old place yard and then onwards to Bicester Village. Simples!
Although the council has been told there is money available for a bridge, No decision has been taken yet.
Personally I wouldn't want the bridge to be built. Too many residential and business buildings close by.
Instead, road signage should be put up to advise motorists of heavy rail traffic...
I agree. Bicester Village though is a law unto it's self.
It's rumoured among the locals that Bicester Village is giving "financial help" to Chiltern Railways for the Bicester redevelopment part and this could be their "recognition" for it.
I hope the name stays because Bicester is a town...
The Balfour Beatty New Track renewal train was spotted working today laying new sleepers from near Charbridge lane, pass the curve and towards the London road crossing. A DRS class 66 was also spotted parked near the Launton road bridge. Not sure if it bought the renewal train to Bicester...
