My application still shows the status "short listing". I went for Trainee Conductor. This is my second application. I went all the way through to the interview the last time, but wasn't offered a job. I hope being keen will work in my favour this time. ;)

Just applied for the Valley Lines Trainee Conductor position yesterday. This will be my second go at this. Applied autumn last year and failed the interview. But I was in the bottom 18 out of 3500. So I'm hoping it'll be better this time. We'll see. If the door opens, it opens. If not, I'll...

No worries. I was half joking anyway... How many people from the Wednesday Group that got through to the interviews are in school with you now? Do you know? Any tips of things you think made you and the others stand out in your interviews?

I'm going to try my hardest to make a very polite call to HR this week. I don't really feel like being polite, as I think it is quite cheeky not to answer my email or to even send me anything to let me know I didn't get the job. What if I wasn't aware of the change of application status online...

I also thought this was odd. Was wondering (secretly hoping) someone in the office put through the wrong update through by mistake. But I guess that's a long shot. Lol

Hey there. I've used their recruitment contact form on the website to ask for feedback. I find it a little odd that they would update the status before contacting us. I'm quite gutted and upset. But what can you do except for trying again?!

Unfortunately it looks like I didn't get the job. Haven't had a call or email yet, but I checked the application status online and it reads: "Unsuccessful after assessment event" ... Have just sent them an email and asked them for feedback.

They must have liked you very much then. :D I hope we'll be colleagues soon. :roll:

Congratulations. I've had assessment and interview on Wednesday and was told it can take up to a week for me to find out if I got the job?! Please don't tell me those who didn't get it will find out last... I'm really sitting on hot coals here now. :| --- old post above --- --- new post below...
