Nonuts is right - just stick with it. If you read other threads it is the same across the industry and it is most frustrating, but the demand is high and the standard is high, and if you are in the pool you have a chance of getting the call. This probably doesn't help, but it is the reality...

That is correct - start date given, and then delayed 3 weeks before start. The backlog is there and you guys are in a frustrating position, but at least you are paid something thankfully. It could still be a long haul, and anyone else in my position must just continue to be patient and await...

Good analogy Nonuts! I got to the shallow end, was half way up the ladder to get out and Covid training problems pushed me back in again!

You are so right. So you have been 10 months, I have been 7 but it seems "Busandrail" out-does us both for time in purgatory, and got picked up for January this year. The clock keeps ticking and we should just stick on in there as advised!

That is a long time - I admire your patience. I have been in the pool since 5th Jul 2019 with Reading. Which depot are you down for? I really struggle to understand why there is no information at all.
