I'm not sure we will be seeing many extra micropubs at stations for the foreseeable future. Micropubs do need a relative high density of people in a small place to be financially viable, and so station locations are likely to be doubly hit by social distancing, both within their premises, but...
It has always been a struggle. Premiere couldn't make it work with clapped out E200s, anything more will just have more cost.i hope however they return to the skylink express brand. Skylink Clifton meant nothing to most travellers, and people tended to just use the one with Nottingham in its name.
For some very odd reason I once caught a NXWM 74 instead of the metro. The air was thick with cannabis smoke, and I am subject to random testing at work. To avoid it, I got off in Soho. Not a good day.
I agree that when the north lines are blocked, the reversals become an issue on 3/4 (1 & 2 being out of service) that said, when it works, which is most of the time it is literally poetry in motion!
I vaguely remember reading somewhere (sorry no refs)that sunnyhill to Burton was recontrolled from EMCC but the relays are still in the PSB relay room because that part wasn't time expired. I will revisit my paper copies of Rail Engineer to confirm!
I'm a very infrequent user of Cardiff bus, having to make a journey between Cardiff central and wentloog. I do find I need to leave an hour to make the journey, which seems to be a combination of really difficult traffic almost all day both in the city centre and cardiff bus not coping with it...
The cross Birmingham tunnels get proposed from time to time, and I understand that the West Midlands combined authority have not ruled it out, once the camp hill works are bottomed out.
IveI just had a great experience with easyJet. Really shows what LCCs can do. It was about the soft product. The people. I can think of several TOCs who could really make a difference at little or no cost - it usually means treating your staff better.
