No there are more than several posts to be filled.:p
Some of the temp staff have just been given perm jobs, Virgin have been dealing with the this first, other temp staff have found jobs at other stations, I think that HR are just seeing how many people they need to fill the jobs.
I'm...
I agree with Craig. I had a temp position with Virgin along with another 9 for 12 mths. 3 jobs came up and Virgin were very good and the short list consisted only of the temp staff. I've just been offered one the permanent positions.:D I've been there 6 months so far!
Out of the nine of...
Its Ellis Street Carpark, the whole of the staff from New Street use it, its just off the smallbrook Queensway and takes around 10 mins to walk to work, if you use the dodgy way that is!:D
You will be issued with a pass and walked the safe way on your training.
Im with Virgin and use the...
No, don't worry. I was unsuccessful in an application and two weeks later was invited to two other interviews for different positions within Virgin. I went thinking i didn't have a hope in hell and was offered a job and started training today!:D

Just posting to let you all know after my second interview with Virgin within two weeks I've just been offered a role as Customer Services Assistant. 12 month contract at Birmingham New Street.
So excited! My first interview I didn't get thru the role play:cry: but my second...
Yes, I realise that, but the point I'm making having dyslexia shouldn't make one a bad train driver nor should it affect you negatively when carrying out the job.
Of course things have changed but if the borderline staff coped a dyslexic with a good IQ should have no problems at all.
Yes, my husband is dyslexic (retired) and I know of another current train driver who was very dyslexic. This was on the old BR days so it could be different now. But to be honest I don't think so, its the type of job that has always attracted people who didn't do so well at school.

Hi Paul
I went to an assessment with London Midland for ticket staff I told them I was dyslexic. They tested me separately I had to wait over 2 hours to do the test on my own, not good for for the nerves! I got an extra 20 % time so tests that were 8 mins I had 10 mins. They were very nice...
I've been invited to the same interview. They are holding two days. Tuesday and Wednesday. The test takes around 1and and half hours and then if successful you will be offered an interview.
I wonder how many people attend? 50? 100?
Hi Gaz
I have to admit I thought the closing date was for the 26th of Jan when I applied but I may be getting mixed up with the jobs at Euston and surrounds which are the 28th. I do think however it did close earlier than the date given as I remember I was surprised to get a notification of...

Anyone know of any similar practice papers I could download and use? I've been checking the web but I can't find anything.

The email confirming the interview did tell me to email them if I did have any requirements and I immed answered. I have a copy of the report which I'm thinking of taking.
I sat down and did the test they sent thru and when I rechecked I'm made some really stupid mistakes.:oops...
