I have been experimenting with fading and shading. The technique was recently discussed on the trainsim forum so I thought I'd have a go. Still needs a little tweaking in my opinion.

I ran it earlier on the Redditch - New St 37 Railtour. The timings for that are just right. I also ran it fast from Reading-Newbury and got 95 by Aldermaston :happy3: :wink:

The ever changing nature of the 'real' railway is one of the biggest challenges with a non-fictional route. In the last few weeks, NR have relayed a stretch of line just south of Southcote Junction. I've yet to go down there but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's going to be continuous welded...

The tolerances on the Berks & Hants routes are minimum 25m... nothing worse than having to crawl forward because you were 5.1m out.

Most I got was 30 but most of the route gave me 20
