I've got a idea what modern signal boxes are like but as this is a old signal box so I assume it'd be using older technology?

So how do I know a train is coming? My grandad used to say t he signal box before would ring the signal box the train is coming to or something? Does it get lonely?

hello everyone I recently applied for a job as a signaller outside Norwich (cantley). Can anyone give me any idea what I would be doing as the line doesn't look like it has a ton of different junctions if at all? Cheers
