Late Conections Glasgow to Prestwick Airport

Buchanan Street Bus Station toilets, shop etc are closed to the public from midnight to 6am everynight, ticket or no ticket. You can of course wait at the seat beside your bus stance, which of course is not to be recommended. You'd be warmer and safer taking the last train to Prestwick Airport...

    New terminus planned for Glasgow

How long have we been hearing this story which is a rehash of the old Crossrail tale. Now with a London train thrown in. Having known the local councillor for years, he'll be doing well holding on to seat never mind waiting for a London train to turn up in Bellgrove St. :lol...

    Routes that are always empty!

To be fair Springburn and Barnhill stations were built to transport "railway" factory workers generations back. Hard to believe Barnhill was a staffed station for most of its life. At the back of Barnhill station were those new houses now sit, left of the picture, was a civil defence building...

    The Clockwork Orange

After it was closed for three years, 1977-1980, for modernisation, most of the new station staff were ex bus conductors who couldn't pass the driving test for the one man operated, omo, bus service. Take it most of them must be retired by now.

    Scotland Votes 2011

The Scottish independence argument comes down to two points: 1. Is Scotland a nation? The vast majority would say it is. Even the majority of "unionist" politicians, including Gordon Brown and John Reid, signed the claim of right. 2. Is Scotland better off part of the United Kingdom, or in...

    Scotland Votes 2011

She was and is well liked. Problem was less and less people voted for her party. If the tories can't win Eastwood with new boundary changes, non tory Barrhead was chopped off it, then its time to go. Independence would probably save the tory view in Scotland. As shown by labour and the lib...
