    I think it is a crossing point. This view from Google Street View makes it seem a bit more clear. The square fenced off area in the link appears to be the same one that's shown in the left of the original photo.

    That video is an older visualisation. I think that was from when the Buchanan Galleries extension into the current car park and over Cathedral Street was still going ahead. After they pulled out, they released a much more scaled down design, which can be seen in this newer visualisation:

    The I and P trains use English approaching the airport, the Central station, and also Tikkurila to inform passengers to change there for connections from what I can remember.
