The shifts are 8 hours 45 minutes (05:00-13:45 and 13:45-22:30). The box is closed on Sundays.

Does anybody have an example of a relief 8/9 hour roster where the box is closed at night?

How far in advance do you receive details for signalling school such as accommodation, arrangements for your first day, travel etc.? Who provides these details?

Hi. My start date is confirmed as 1st January with signalling school due to start on 10th February. Will I be paid from 1st January?

How long before starting signalling school are you generally told your school start date?

I'm at the same stage. I had my medical on 16th August and still waiting for a start date!

Thank you. HR have asked me for a provisional start date. I explained to them that my Line Manager is applying for my Signalling School place but they've responded to say they require a date from me to see if the date "will be suitable from a business point of view"!
