Without a change it should be quicker - even if it's only a few minutes. I can't see the Voyager (or whatever) hanging around at Preston longer than it needs to. Stopping pattern south of Preston may have an effect, but if it's rumoured to be a service to "replace" one starting from Lancaster...

Like many of their names, they were extremely highly strung thoroughbreds that needed a lot of expensive care. If they were truly successful they would have lasted longer in full revenue earning service than only 20 years. Cheers Mick
