Not for a little while but I did use to use the 34 from Margate to Ramsgate via Newington. Admittedly it often coincided with school kicking out but it was busy. However, I would say that there wasn't that much use within Newington, which is also a bit of a nightmare for poor parking.

Thanks from me too
I presume the 44 will follow the 34 route into Ramsgate from Newington. Along Paragon, up Leopold Street and then down Westcliff Road heading for Sandwich
I agree this could be messy. Newington is not fun to drive a bus through
I used to get the 9 into Canterbury (I live...
Re previous posts on the cuts/changes to bus routes in Thanet the 9 and 32 are now "saved". Guessing KCC may be contributing? Plus 9 may be run by another operator

I live in a seaside area (Thanet) which had the first UKIP council in the UK and where Farage lost in the general election in 2015 (first time I had voted Tory :))
By then I had been here about eight years. I had retired and was volunteering in an advice bureau. Certainly a lot of people had...
I agree
The bus will serve the other end of Canterbury’s main drag to the train which is very useful for some of us. I, too, like the idea of the extension of the 43. It will be interesting to see the actual route
My partners son used to work for Stagecoach and drove the 9 between Ramsgate and...
Read out from a meeting Cllr Rob Yates had with KCC and Stagecoach re proposed cuts to bus services serving Thanet. Source Rob Yates FB account
Just had a meeting with KCC Transport officers, and the MD + Commercial Manager of Stagecoach SE.
The update is:
1) KCC are looking to find an...
Withdrawal and reduction in Stagecoach services in Thanet. Getting worse for anything other than The Loop although a direct Ramsgate Canterbury service is welcome

i've recounted this before :)
A lot of years ago I was travelling from London Victoria to Broadstairs. We ground to a halt and the driver told us that the train in front of us had failed
just outside Gillingham. A while later he came in to say that we were going to try to push the train...
Crossing has reopened
A much-used level crossing has reopened after a fault with the barriers caused lengthy queues for the second day in a row.

I had something similar last week at Margate.
A very late platform change from 2-1. The train was pulling into the platform as the announcement came. Fortunately (as I have back issues and am carrying a bit too much weight) I was by the stairs and also saw the train just before the...
Last time this happened to me - a number of years ago - to be fair - I was on the “pushing train”
That failed too so we had two trains stuck outside Gillingham waiting for rescue
Beach Boys at Royal Chelsea Hospital which was a splendid venue
Sadly Mike Love's voice has gone which was a problem as he was lead vocalist on a number of tracks. Fortunately the harmonies covered it up and in the second half they spread the vocals around
Fun and nostalgic for us veterans
I had a Senior Railcard for twelve years and was rarely asked to show it. Use trains once or twice a week
Now have a Disabled Railcard (10 months for a not obvious disability). Have had to produce it once at a revenue block. Been through other blocks - ticket only.
Sorry - misunderstanding
To add to that then - on those same days more people use the ticket office than the machines. At Ramsgate - in particular - the machines didn’t seem to be used much which supports the e ticket view
But, I’d also say that more people bought tickets from the offices...
