Don't believe there's any news on a resurrection of the service, however Railways Ilustrated are touting a RUMOUR that DRS are going to use 37's over the S&C in lieu of certain Northern services.
Now that would be good for passenger numbers!
Well thanks to all for your replies, and most helpful they were too.
I got there around ten in the morning, and by mid afternoon had accomplished pretty much what I wanted to, which was clear my XC 220's/221's and 43's and also my two remaining Pendo's.
But furthermore, I saw so much more...
The peak is 46035 which used to be D172 and also 97403 (named Ixion).
It's owned (I believe) by Waterman Railways and has been sheeted over since it arrived from Leeds Midland Rd in 2006. No work has been done on it since.
Incidentally, what locos did DRS send down yesterday for the open day?
I was planning to go down to BHM next week, but someone has mentioned that it's quite a difficult station on which to spot, due to its sheer size and poor lighting.

No problems with any of this. Don't fill in the back section though as the ticket office will do that.
So long as the vouchers are still valid then that's all we're bothered about.
