Should the responsibility for warning about speed restrictions ahead be separated from the system which warns that there is another train ahead?

Was an opportunity missed at the signal protecting the crossover to warn the driver of the true obstruction ahead due to the signal being approach controlled, or is that information we do not know yet?

    London to Göttingen, 30 September

There is an ICE at just gone midnight at a NightJet at midnight thirty, from Hannover, so I would take this option given you wouldn't be stranded.

Italo to compete in German high-speed market

Precisely. Agreed, I think? Either OAO (Eurostar) or Takt (NL, AT, LU). Not both. (Regarding any OAO in the countries mentioned - I think they would be better off without it, OR it's an international service that operates "outside" of the Takt system.) If the current system continues, we will...

Massive capacity increase Germany-Poland from December 2025

If the second, or a future additional, Leipzig train leaves after 17:00, this will make London to Katowice possible in one day, at 15 hours or so.

    LNER Onboard Staff

So two main courses: vegan or fish. Gosh! Why bother?

    LNER Onboard Staff

Of those two the curry is the only one that is a meal (not a sandwich), so it's unclear to me what the chef in the attached video actually does once breakfast is finished.

    LNER Onboard Staff

The first class Dine menu currently published online only has two rest-of-day hot options, the Railway Curry and BBQ Chicken Croque, so I don't think one is missing much

    Train too long for platform!

A lot of urgency and staff to prevent the self-local-door-deboarding, but not enough urgency and staff to permit managed-local-door-deboarding - peculiar

DB timetable change - alternative routing

Well, the results. The Eurostar terminated in p4/p6 at Brussels, making for an easy connection. We chose option 5, a new ticket via Zürich, and this worked perfectly, and was a relaxed trip. It was an enjoyable journey. In the end, option 2 would've worked out with ICE1109 being held for 2...

DB timetable change - alternative routing

True, but after 23h vs before 21h after a 6am start is a little miserable which makes 2 or 5 more appealing. Separately, my (few) experiences of DB during disruption have been positive previously, and I'm surprised that 1 is on the table from DB's side.

DB timetable change - alternative routing

Thanks all for your helpful advice and insight. As far as I can see, my options are: Continue on ICE 597 to Munich as booked, knowing the connection with RJ287 to Innsbruck won't be made, arrive St Anton +2:20. Claim 50% compensation. Possibility: guaranteed, on time arrival: 0% Somehow...
