Was an opportunity missed at the signal protecting the crossover to warn the driver of the true obstruction ahead due to the signal being approach controlled, or is that information we do not know yet?

Should the responsibility for warning about speed restrictions ahead be separated from the system which warns that there is another train ahead?
Precisely. Agreed, I think? Either OAO (Eurostar) or Takt (NL, AT, LU). Not both.
(Regarding any OAO in the countries mentioned - I think they would be better off without it, OR it's an international service that operates "outside" of the Takt system.)

Of those two the curry is the only one that is a meal (not a sandwich), so it's unclear to me what the chef in the attached video actually does once breakfast is finished.

Well, the results. The Eurostar terminated in p4/p6 at Brussels, making for an easy connection.
We chose option 5, a new ticket via Zürich, and this worked perfectly, and was a relaxed trip. It was an enjoyable journey.

True, but after 23h vs before 21h after a 6am start is a little miserable which makes 2 or 5 more appealing.
Separately, my (few) experiences of DB during disruption have been positive previously, and I'm surprised that 1 is on the table from DB's side.

Continue on ICE 597 to Munich as booked, knowing the connection with RJ287 to Innsbruck won't be made, arrive St Anton +2:20. Claim 50% compensation. Possibility: guaranteed, on time arrival: 0%
