SWR Trainee Drivers at Staines, Woking and Waterloo

I applied a few weeks ago, didn't hear anything, so I contacted HR. They said they have had problems and not been reviving applications- I'm assuming that's why it was open for so long. They sent me a link to complete the application again, however that went to my junk. I saw it the day before...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

Just wanted to add my experience so far. Applied in early April, 2 weeks later got an invite to AC1. Sitting AC1 in a weeks time, I'll let you know the outcome. From what I gather they are similar tests to that of a train driver which I sat a while back. Thanks to everyone in this forum for...

Abellio Greater Anglia Trainee Drivers (Mainline and Depot)

Ok, we'll agree to disagree on that one then. My intentions were not immoral....... How long have you been a driver for?

Abellio Greater Anglia Trainee Drivers (Mainline and Depot)

I know they are, but both new when you are a new candidate. I dont see it as terrible advice, nor cheating. I'm sure I wouldn't be considered for a position, if that were the case. I take it you are already a driver for AGA?

Abellio Greater Anglia Trainee Drivers (Mainline and Depot)

Please don't comment, if its just to be rude! If you really want the job, you'll apply to as many vacancies possible (within reason- location etc). Theres no point in missing an opp. If you want to go driving, you will surely happily apply for both depot & mainline. I did!! And was sent for...

Southern rail , whats the maximum distance you can live from th depot ?

Maybe thats said to reduce the volume of apps. Those that are serious about relocating will try their luck.I live about 3hrs from the depot I applied for.

I've applied & I live nowhere near the depot but my app has been progressed to next stage. I also met someone with the ame circumstances- willing to relocate.

    Scotrail Trainee Drivers (Ongoing)

I did the assessments before xmas with a FOC. Split in 2 stages. The telephone interview is similar to the MMI, the MMI was more intense. DMI was more informal.

Freightliner trainee driver positions ('Graduate scheme')

I was asked all those, plus a couple bout the company & role of the driver. But also a couple which I feel where slightly inappropriate. I mentioned it to a few guys at work, who also agree. The interview was the only downside to the whole process, so I wasn't surprised with the outcome...

Freightliner trainee driver positions ('Graduate scheme')

I knew as soon as the manager saw me, I wasn't going to get the job. He underestimated what he saw of me & made up his mind. This was reflected by some of the questions he asked me. Plus he seemed to be very anti the job I already do. Also he didn't seem to gel well with the HR member.
