Though I do agree with you, my way of thinking was, if he attempts to write an application in the same format, he would not stand a chance.
That was not my intention. As you know yourself, nearly all TOC applications are scanned by a computer first, looking for spelling mistakes and poor...
Thanks for finding the spelling mistake. You could have at least waited for Lenny though!
I disagree with the poor sentence construction.
And please don't switch the attention to me, I'm not the one asking for advice.
Applying for any TOC job requires the following
1: Good grammar
2: Good punctuation.
3: Good spelling.
Failing any of the above can almost gaurentee a rejection.

Please take this as constructive advice and...
Thanks guys.
I think in this case then, it was my CV that probably let me down in my application for a depot driver, my first application for a TOC.
This has been a real learning kerb for me, as I'm not used to failure
How important is having a good CV?
What happens if your last 2 jobs were both 12 year plus jobs, it won't make a good CV.
What is it they are looking for in a CV?
I'm guessing some of you guys who got through already work for a TOC?
I'm still trying to work out where I went wrong in my application, I thought it was bullet proof
Bad news for me also. My first application for a very very long time, so wasn't expecting much.
It states I can't apply for any more jobs for 6 months, which I think is a bit rough to be honest.
I've been told before a human even gets to look at them, a computer first scans them to identify any spelling mistakes, if any are found, it is rejected.
No idea if that is true or not.
I hate this suspense.
It's my first job application in over 12 years and my toughest, so I'm not holding my breath to be honest.
Good luck to all those who applied.
