Hi,
Can anyone tell me what the below consists of please:
055Z 11:53 Leicester LIP to Leicester LIP
Going to Round Oak and back by the looks. Thanks in advance.
On pulling in to Bham NS today on my morning commute, rather than the usual dull "mind the gap etc" announcement, the Guard announced "Please mind the gap betwixt train and platform". Cue mirth from some and confusion from others.
Any other quirky guards announcements?
Sandwell and Dudley. Sandwell is a made up politicians name for the local authority and nobody outside if the west midlands knows where it is. Plus the station is nowhere near Dudley. Should really be called West Bromwich and Oldbury.
The dogbox used today probably came off the Chase Line. My usual early morning service was minus its dogbox, meaning myself and dozens of others could not get on at Tame Bridge. 'Unit availability' being the LM excuse.
I commute through New St to Coventry 4 or 5 days a week. New St is fine up top but a health hazard down below (try standing on P5 with a turbostar ticking over, a Voyager ticking over in the middle siding and another revving away from P6).
Coventry is fine. Access good, staff pleasant. Could...
I was 'delayed' yesterday evening by a fatality at Marston Green. Thoughts firstly with those involved of course.
However, i need to rant. There was no hint of an issue when i left work to get my usual 17:02 VT from Coventry to Bham New St. The service arrived on time and everyone piled on as...
Just local ones for me. Bumble Hole branch, Snow Hill to Wolves Low Level (you can of course do most of that on the Midland Metro but i would like to have done it properly), Swan Village to Great Bridge, Wolves Low Level to Dudley, Princes End branch and South Staffs Lichfield to Dudley.
So...
Apologies if this has been done before. Had a quick search but couldn't find anything. I was thinking how many branch lines there are that serve only one destination? Stourbridge Town branch is an obvious example. Any more out there?
The 17:42 from Bham New St to Rugeley Trent Valley is 4 carriages which means they have to lock out the doors on the rear carriage from Bloxwich onwards.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
