Dunno, if you work for a perspex screen manufacturer they'll have done well. :) Plenty of TOCs are looking at going back to full(ish) timetables in Dec, and hopefully the direction of travel in 2021 will be towards living with covid.

Training recommenced this week I believe - trials are underway at certain depots for those closest to passing out. Believe the plan is to roll out further should these trials be successful. Basic training still waiting, so I don’t think there’ll be any movement on new starters for a little...

friend of mine is a trainee with EMR, main line based at Kettering so not always depot based.

I started with my TOC literally as lockdown began. Did a couple of online sessions but apart from that have not started training just yet. Been reassured a number of times that the training will happen, and I’m being paid training wage, so can’t really complain. Would love to get started though!

Yeah absolutely. I’d imagine anyone still in the system will be first port of call though.

Good question - I think the situation is so fluid decisions won’t be made until closer to the time
