There's a few other theme parks that have local buses running into the grounds.
The bus stop at Chessington World of Adventures where TfL's 71 starts/terminates looks to be on park property.
Similarly D&G operate services into Alton Towers.
As a regular user of the LNR services out of Euston, that was my reaction too - usually if you're there around 20 minutes before departure you're able to get a seat towards the front of the train. Pretty much the only times the train fills up instantly is when it's short-formed.
But how many people are actually taking "very large quantities" of hold luggage? Most will have one large hold case and a hand luggage case, which is hardly unreasonable. It feels on these forums like anyone who dares bring more than a handbag with them is deemed to be causing a massive...
How dare people travelling to/from an airport take luggage with them. Do we want people to use the railway or not?
As others have already pointed out, Thameslink provides a really useful way to get to stations the north side of London without having to struggle through the mostly-inaccessible...
I was really surprised at how bad the lift situation is at St Pancras low level when I had cause to travel to Gatwick with heavy luggage. Only a single lift between the ticket hall, the bridge level, and one of the platforms. Coming from the other platform, you're then trying to get into an up...
To be fair to them, looking at services passing through my local station, they do at least seem to be running 12 cars on the Euston-Northampton-Brum services that are running, which is better than we got in the hot weather cancellations the other week.
Well judging by the number of "Toilet facilities not available on this service" updates on the LNR website today (and a few other days) that may be very necessary! Is there some issue with emptying them?
This looks extremely familiar, I'm assuming LNR uses the same system. It used to repeatedly pop up the same message about season ticket holders.
I was wondering if the system did any of the automated decision making on when to pay out, or if this happened elsewhere in the TOC. I've generally...
Not sure if it's related but on my way into London yesterday the platform screens and automated announcements at Leighton Buzzard for the 10.12 said "This is the first service where Network SouthEast discounted tickets are valid.", which felt odd!
I've seen a 10 car full all the way to the front on a late night service out of Euston, but it didn't feel anywhere near as sardine-tin as a 350 would.
Are you sure? In the last 2 weeks I've been delayed twice by objects in the OLE, once by a broken rail, once by a lineside equipment issue, and once by a broken down freight train.
I gave them the reference for the other claim in the email - because I'd only posted the refund request the day before I don't have any reference for that yet.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
