Northbound line at Northallerton is blocked to all trains. Southbound is open but only to diesels. Passengers from all waiting EC northbound electric trains at York switched to scheduled 00:42 departure to Newcastle which is an HST and will run on the southbound line past the blockage.
On the 20:00 Kings Cross to Newcastle, stuck at York with lots of other East Coast electric trains that cant go north. Been told that the plan is to wait for a 125 expected at 00:45 which will take all waiting passengers north.
