Hi mate, your guy is correct there's an Intermodal training course starting on Oct 20th (I'm on it). I was told following a fully booked course in May that I'd be on a course in October or Feb, so it seems they run a month apart if HH is this Sept or next Jan. Glad to be on the October...

Apps for Intermodal closed on Dec 10, consider yourself lucky I'm in the same round of recruitment only I might not start til next Feb :|

No letter for me, but I've been informed that I haven't been selected for the May course, and will be put on one either this Sept or next Feb :(

Not heard anything yet, had my medical on the 9th for Leeds depot. Eddie said he'd let me know in about 2 weeks when I asked about it on the 10th (impatient!)

I don't think there is any set career. I have a Masters degree in Strategic Management and have spent the last sixth months working for a Share Plan Management company in an office :) Although I'm not actually a train driver, I have passed assessments and I'm off for a medical next week.

Were you offered a job after passing your medical? I heard there was travel perks (Chinese whispers I think) which was surprising considering it isn't a TOC, which would be cool but not holding my breath.

Sorry, set us all on as in hire everyone that passes the medical? Or sends all people who have passed the second stage to medicals and then filters again based on that somehow?

Did they offer any feedback? I'm also curious to know if they send more people than they have vacancies for medicals.
