Companies That You Expect to Disappear Soon

I subscribe to 3 magazines. All 3 (and I suspect many others) are offering all sorts of special offers for subscriptions - they are obviously worried about losing the casual sales from TGJ. Said magazines are a bit specialist and are not stocked by supermarkets.

Companies That You Expect to Disappear Soon

I popped into Droitwich TGJ yesterday -- the shop was busier for the closing down sale than I've seen it for years. There are rumours that the Worcester shop (which includes a Post Office on the first floor) is closing in November, but they've not started the closing down sale yet.

longbridge to worcester foregate street on easements 700473 and 700474

The 144 service has been reduced to half hourly - pre Covid it ran every 15 minutes. It has been pretty reliable recently. If the OP wanted to go via Parkway, the X50 Evesham - Worcester bus calls there every 30 minutes.

Railcard renewal - demanding mobile number

We ceased our landline earlier this year as the only calls we ever received on that were scams. Those we actually wanted to speak to had our mobile numbers.

    Railway Memorabilia/Items to move on

Books are pretty much worthless. Every Heritage Railway is awash with second hand books. For the other bits and bobs try https://www.gwra.co.uk/

Things in living memory which seem very anachronistic now

We were in Prague and Budapest a year ago and the air raid sirens were tested in both cities whilst we were there.
