    Seat Injuries

Hi, It's happened to me a few times now. The latest on the DLR on Friday where I scratched my leg on the plastic seat part. Anyone else had issues with this or am I just unfortunate?

The approach taken by Merseyrail regarding byelaw enforcement

I don't doubt that is true for a second. Jubilee line there are toilets at Canary Wharf and Stratford. London Bridge tube is a ten minute walk to mainline station for them. Yes there are a seriously lack of toilets at Tube stations.

Do we underuse our country branch lines for tourism?

Buxton is rural. But if the rail companies want people to use these rural lines they need to reduce prices and if possible increase frequency. Its the same with anything...economics! The lower the price the more people will perhaps pay the fare.

Do we underuse our country branch lines for tourism?

We'll put it this way...road miles from Wolves to Buxton is 60miles. It's cheaper by car. Public transport should be cheaper. Therefore perhaps half price.

Do we underuse our country branch lines for tourism?

About 4 years ago I got the bus from Penrith to Keswick(I think) for the pencil museum. That was a tenner. :(

Do we underuse our country branch lines for tourism?

Fares...pricey...over £60 for a return to Buxton from Wolves. Reduce the fares more people will use the service.

Do we underuse our country branch lines for tourism?

Biggest problem is fares. £60 from Wolves to Betws-y-Coed. Wolves to Barmouth only £25 (if there was a 7am train on a Sunday I would consider using it but alas there isn't...first train is 16:43 today)

Trespass incident at Manchester Piccadilly (11/03)

Whatever your view this was a serious security breach. And there is no excuse for these protesters to block our railway. The Turkish embassy..yes...but not the railway. It could give terrorists ideas. That is not a thought I want to even entertain but it is a possibility. There should be a...

Cambrian line 20 Oct 2017: loss of ERTMS speed restrictions. RAIB report released

Approaching level crossings is worrying but temp restrictions even more so. If 70mph temp reduced to 25mph round a bend could end in catastrophe. Hitachi have got to fix it.

LU announcements regarding 'regulating the service'

And...also a new announcement at Stratford....'if a passenger falls ill, please let them off the train as we can care better for them on the platform' If in full cardiac arrest etc...they are going nowhere.

Virgin Trains East Coast franchise to end 24 June 2018 and is temporarily re-nationalised

I was told it had been quoted somewhere. I disagree..I now hope Virgin lose the WCML. Chiltern offer a far better, less faffy service.
