Yate Plat 1 (Up) is 105m, Plat 2 (Down) is 103m.
Cam & Dursley both platforms are 104m.
Both stations can take max 4 car DMUs without Selective Door Opening.
It is, however you cannot reverse at the stations.
When Nuneham Viaduct between Radley and Culham was shut, GWR did run some shuttles Didcot - Culham, however this used a pilot to reverse as it was technically working to/from an obstruction.
There's a Saturdays only GWR service from Cheltenham Spa - Bristol Temple Meads, via Swindon, and with the first stop being Stonehouse, avoiding Gloucester.

It is illogical. But worse decisions on traction/route knowledge have been made recently, especially with drivers.
If an ATP fitted train travels beyond ATP areas, the ATP goes from full supervision (where it monitors speed limits, signals etc) to partial supervision. This only protects going over the max speed of the train.
Quite a while now? I can confirm there is a block to electric traction west of Bristol Parkway. Signaller was instructing all South Wales bound trains to go into Diesel mode at Bristol Parkway today.
There's an old distant semaphore signal inside Box tunnel on the Up Main line, just near the exit of the tunnel. It's only just about visible from a driver's POV.
