It is a three aspect distant signal used for the bi-directional signalling towards Navarino Road Junction which is used for turnbacks. It cannot show a red aspect.

There are no current plans to resignal the kings Lynn line. Even if there was it would likely end up in Cambridge PSB rather than Colchester.
