Is Network Rail a basket case?
By which I mean guilty of putting more and more eggs in the basket until it breaks.
Case 1) the current disgrace - as commented by others earlier, full testing with switchover onload and prolonged running in that state is mandatory.
If you decide to replace staff...
Sorry to be thick, but this is being towed by a class 37 + POB - the visibility from the tender will be close to zero.
presumably the speed limitation is due to lubrication and hot box risk etc?
Well done 'mod' - what matters is when is the ORR going to announce their decision, that affects both the Jacobite and other West Coast main line excursions.
We were told that the stock couldn't leave Southall until the fast lines were cleared of engineering works, as those are the only routes available out of the depot.
Hopefully that makes some sense - don't know why the engineering works overran though?
P.S. Peter Pan and Tangmere were fantastic!
Hertford North has a lift to platform 2 (Downline to Stevenage) & platform 3 (Bay), but not platform 1which is the Upline to Moorgate and those stairs are steep if you have luggage.
Fantastic effort and shame on those that just criticise.
I expect this to be out of scope, but for me there would be added value if you could add preserved and heritage lines e.g. the Swanage line - so I could work out nearest mainline stations.
Thank you.
