Would be nice if they could retime the journey once they can guarantee all the busses are going to be electric. 70-75 mins from my house to Coventry or Leicester - would be nicer if it was an hour. Might save a bus over the course of a day.
I wish they would drop tap off and just have tap on like in London with a permanently capped fare. I just ask for regular tickets (where available now) as the tap off is a total faff and often doesn't work.
If cheap capped fares for longer services is a problem then have a different capped fare...
Some Stagecoach drivers shout at you if you stand up before the bus stops, the announcements on the new electric busses on the 148 service also say wait for it to stop. Someone must have fallen and now they are being paranoid. Must add 10mins+ between Coventry & Leicester when driver is...
Same onwards towards Nuneaton.
Hinckley gets 1 train per hour, we have 4 busses an hour between Leicester & Nuneaton (which are usually busy) but they take about an hour from Hinckley to Leicester rather than 20 minutes on the train.
A call at Hinckley would be nice! You could also knock 15-20mins off not going into Leicester and reversing, but would lose a revenue opportunity. Maybe stop at Luton Airport set down/pickup only.
Make the one that stops at Nuneaton carry on to Glasgow (like the via Birminghams one), I'm sure platforms 13/14 can handle yet another service.
Would make day trips from Nuneaton to Glasgow easier and totally kill Manchesters capacity at the same time.
This would be wildly more expensive than most Off Peak Returns, very few people actually buy the full Anytime Return fares.
It doesn't allow the for multiple valid routes between 2 destinations of differing distance, the longer route may take longer and would be charged more but you may be on...
My autistic son is severely stressed with the A4 bag limit he needs his cuddly toy and few other comfort items, whereas a 20L bag would be fine. This isn't a small thing for people with autism or those of us (probably undiagnosed) who follow rules rigidly.
A 20L A4 bag would be deeper than it...
Problem is that Leicester & Leicestershire are not participating in the East Midlands Mayoral area, so Notts & Derby have no real incentive to get the first step into Leicester station complete.
Completing to Leicester at least would allow an Emu's to run on the stopping services and a safe...
Main problem I see with reservations is that you are often given them on flexible tickets by default but if you decide to change your travel time there is no way of altering the reservation, thus leading to unused reserved seats.
For advanced tickets reserve the seat during purchase, for all...
Nice idea but expensive and a few problems.
The section between the Nuneaton to Leicester line and the first crossing of the A5 is currently being turned into 3-4 big distribution centres, section after A5 Is shortly going to be an extension to Dobwalls industrial estate.
The section near to...
And those disabled enough not to be able to handle digital payment methods should be eligible for a disabled bus pass.
My son has Autism and has a disabled bus pass, if he needed to pay he would use contactless as notes and coins are too confusing.
Use them a lot as Nuneaton now my main station as living on Nuneaton side of Hinckley. Always seems to be a lot of people getting on and off and with a huge amount of new housing developments in our area station only going to get busier.
Fares are a bit troublesome and you really need to get to...
