After each tour, why does the Britannic Explorer return to Eastleigh?

Looks as though there could be some test runs starting tomorrow from Eastleigh Arlington 1774007415 And now cancelled. 1774008370 Has been reinstated, departing at 1145.

Looks like it got as far as Fenny Stratford tonight. Now 5Z99 to Wellingborough. 1758957162 According to RTT yet more problems with the doors.

It hasn't left Victoria yet so perhaps it isn't running. 1758559646 RTT now shows it as cancelled due to problem with the train.

Does anyone know what all the movements are for to and from Fawley?

There were only 8 carriages. I thought that there were supposed to be 10 with 2 for the use of the crew.

Looks like another attempt is being made. Tomorrow at 8.09 the 5Z65 goes to Stewarts Lane, then on to Victoria. Let's hope it works this time!

The date crossed out has now gone and nothing has moved from Eastleigh.

Just rereading the BBC article, it says a 15 minute saving from Pembrokeshire to a new West Wales Parkway station at Felindre.

I think they are confusing the saving from Cardiff to London when the new timetable starts. But that's politicians for you.

What are the plans for the bridge carrying the Valleys Line from Cardiff to Queen Street over the main line to be electrified? The clearance seems very low.
