You can go back a long way for such accidents - Harrow in 1952 being by far the worst.

I saw one of these brakes going through Arbroath on a Freightliner in 1967. From what I recall it was painted white or cream and badged "Air braked, gas heated".

The preserved Scottish locos were indeed stored at Dawsholm. All, apart from GNoSR no.49 "Gordon Highlander", are in the Riverside Museum. No. 49 is currently in the museum at Bo'ness.

Most first generation DMUs had screw couplings and Scissors gangways. The exceptions were as far as I know the Swindon built Inter City and Trans Pennine units.

As a penniless schoolboy in the 1970s I could only afford black and white film - Ilford HP4 from memory. I developed it myself. I now have hundreds of negatives which I am very gradually scanning into my PC.
