Have a look at Colas rail .. quite a few fitter/operator roles going atm and they run an ex services scheme

Normally you’ll be away for the three weeks but you get 2 extra rest days for every 4 days you’re away so you’ll be away for 3 weeks and have the 4th week off

At least you got a reply .... does anyone else find it odd that they have a talent pool of trainee train driver candidates with no time scale as to when or if they will be placed on a course but have advertised for more trainee drivers albeit apprentice ones ?
