Would/could Transport Scotland insist or encourage that the order is at least partially built in Scotland? Assembly facilities have previously been built in the UK especially for specific orders.

That bridge is due to be removed in the planned electrification works so they probably couldn't justify spending any money on it.

Yes - that's correct as the old ticket office and first class lounge is becoming a retail unit. I suspect it may end up as an M&S Simply Food.

I always look up at the old North and South bridges - will be a shame to lose them. I wonder how high the central bridge will have to be raised. The new first class lounge is at the top of the stairs to the bridge so will the access to it have to be adapted when it has only just been built...

It's £6.50 for a tram from Edinburgh City Centre to the airport yet just a pound more to take the Ember service and tram from Dundee City Centre!

Ember is maybe just absorbing the cost or perhaps the airport is subsidising it to meet a public transport target.
