ScotRail Suburban Fleet (EMU and BEMU) Market Engagement

Would/could Transport Scotland insist or encourage that the order is at least partially built in Scotland? Assembly facilities have previously been built in the UK especially for specific orders.

Stations not known by their "official" names?

Aberdeen was known as Aberdeen Joint Station until 1952 however I, born in the 1980s, have heard it being referred to as "the joint station" in my lifetime!

Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird and Highland)

Is an integrated timetable going to be published for the routes which Stagecoach has lost, advising of the new operators for ease of use of the travelling public? I'm speaking as a business owner on these routes whose staff and guests use them. In my case I'm hoping Stagecoach, Watermill and...

    Flixbus Discussion

I'm afraid I've no idea. The move may either mean it's too busy for the current on street stop so needs a bus station stand or the opposite in that it needs the better location of the bus station to drive uptake. Passengers who currently use Scottish Citylink, Megabus and National Express...

Facilities at Glasgow Queen Street and other stations in Scotland

Two units are showing as still available and two units are under offer on the property website. Has anything gone in above the ticket office yet? Also what has happened to the temporary ticket office in Dundas Street?

    Aberdeen station redevelopment

That bridge is due to be removed in the planned electrification works so they probably couldn't justify spending any money on it.

    Aberdeen station redevelopment

Yes - that's correct as the old ticket office and first class lounge is becoming a retail unit. I suspect it may end up as an M&S Simply Food.

Dunblane - Perth - Dundee - Aberdeen electrification updates

I always look up at the old North and South bridges - will be a shame to lose them. I wonder how high the central bridge will have to be raised. The new first class lounge is at the top of the stairs to the bridge so will the access to it have to be adapted when it has only just been built...

Dunblane - Perth - Dundee - Aberdeen electrification updates

Thanks for that. Wasn't sure what the best thread was for it. Didn't think we would see this application in 2022 to be honest.

    Ember: Electric coach service

It's £6.50 for a tram from Edinburgh City Centre to the airport yet just a pound more to take the Ember service and tram from Dundee City Centre!

    Ember: Electric coach service

Ember is maybe just absorbing the cost or perhaps the airport is subsidising it to meet a public transport target.
