East Croydon has similar and very useful it is too. Seems to be the better option (especially if you don't know the final destination (s) of train that stops where you want to go to).
Can anybody tell me why platforms 1&2 at Norwood Junction are either side of a single track? My first thoughts are that this might once have been two bay platforms but I can't see any evidence of this.
Are there other stations that have a single through line with two platform faces?
I witnessed an incident last week at St Pancras LL. Two overseas gents with suitcases (two each so perhaps too many) both got up in plenty of time to get off the Bedford bound FCC service I was on but only one was successful in getting off due to the large number of passengers crowding the doors...
