The Thanet LOOP route is unnumbered - the name "LOOP" is use as a number substitute. This is a very regular route around Thanet (Margate, Ramsgate), Kent - around every 7 minutes all day M-F but less frequent late at night or at weekends.

You are certainly correct that many drivers lose their ability - or at least, it diminishes over time. I think a refresher test at (say) the ages of 50 and 70 would not be unreasonable - and maybe every 5 years from 70 onwards.

There does seem to be a problem. From ECR to GTW (East Croydon to Gatwick) it does not show the £4.90 +Any Permitted single, but does show the £5.00 FCC Only single. Of course, the existence of the FCC Only fare is daft as nobody would possibly be best advised to buy it.

Perhaps a sadder mistake people make is thinking that they have grounds for appeal when - like this OP - they have none at all. Getting on the wrong train because you are late is not a ground for appeal. And entering a spurious appeal is not a ground for paying late. As per previous posts...
