    ARL Driver Query

Beaconsfield - Willesden Junction 42min - source: Citymapper (quickest I could find) It will cost an ARL driver: £0.00 Else drive off peak in ~1/2hr as you will anyway for many shifts. I think they've made a mistake, e.g. used thetrainline.com to calculate the journey which is inefficient in...

    ARL Driver Query

I wouldn't attempt NXG from Beaconsfield every day, sod that... Not sure what measure they're using but Beaconsfield to WJ is <1hr in my opinion. Quite a few drivers live further out and all under an hour via public transport if you time it right. Chiltern, Met, Bakerloo & Overground don't run...

Is a watch necessary for a driver

Sounds like you're not issued with a "TocWATCH" but with a watch that isn't fit for punctuality. The TOC where 172 007 used to be issues a TocWATCH that's radio controlled. Our TCMS clocks are also inaccurate.

Who you going to call? (Drivers: When your train has a technical issue who do you contact first?)

This thread has coincided well with the new PON release. I echo what most have contributed on here - signaller first, my most recent example was at a terminus and I had the road already but couldn't get interlock, it was a no brainer to let the signaller know first before I started fault...
