Yeah, the assessments are going on for applications submitted this year.

No mate, nothing about the company etc either but that wasn’t for Northern though so just prepare for both situations.

Despite many on here saying it’ll be either like the MMI or type of questions like ‘explain a time you’ve dealt with an emergency’, mine yesterday was purely a competency interview and except one question about why I wanted to be a train driver. Therefore be prepared for every eventuality.

I know of one person who has done both assessments and MMI quick time. Not sure if the submission of applications make any difference?

No, They are just questions regarding various situations. This part of the test is not a pass or fail, but your answers will be used in the MMI. Be warned, I was interviewed for an hour and 45 minutes and was told to change one of my answers which was a perfectly good answer but apparently...

Thanks buddy Depends on the TOC. I’m going for WMT and from what I understand there are different test but think they follow the same principles of safety and customer service as this is essentially what you job is essentially all about (apart from driving the train!).
