Damn, I got my rejection email too. Annoyingly, living in Brighton there's no other option but to wait for GTR to recruit again, as I'm too far from other TOC or FOC depots.
I did the assessment last night and you can't really prepare for it. It consisted of the following sort of tasks:
* Situations
* Agree/disagree statements
* Select the top three and bottom three from a series of statements
I applied on 1st Feb and haven't heard anything yet.
I'm hoping it with be fourth time lucky for me. On my first application, in 2016, I got through to the DMI but my two other applications, after that, have been rejected at the initial online submission stage.
Practice, practice, practice!
I downloaded the Group Bourdon Tool software and also got a practice book from Amazon.
I also would find snippets of newspaper articles, get people to read them out to me and then get them to ask me questions about it after.
I bought a piece of software called...
I received that email too. I was wondering if it's worth me emailing to say that I've already passed the assessment day? Or will this be apparent when they are reviewing my application? (I applied to be a Southern driver last year but unfortunately failed the driver manager interview stage)
Hello,
I've got an interview soon and would love to visit the box first. HR were unable to assist me in giving me the contact details for the LOM, does anyone else know how I can get his contact details please?
Thanks
I agree it's not the most ideal time to be applying for this role. But it gets my foot in the door at GTR to hopefully one day be a train driver, so I'll do whatever it takes!
Does anyone know about the assessment day for this role?
I haven't been provided with anything, HR haven't replied to my email and when I phoned up, they said they couldn't help!
I had a managers interview with Thameslink over 2 weeks ago (for trainee driver role) and haven't heard back yet, to see if I'm through to the MMI, the wait is killing me!
I've still not heard anything yet. I noticed that the closing date kept being extended, with it finally closing on 6th Sept - I'm not sure if that makes any difference. I saw a few people on another thread had heard back and had been given assessment dates already.
The Three Bridges trainee driver job is still available via the direct url (it's just no longer displaying on the GTR careers page) and I'm sure they've extended the closing date from 19th August to 23rd August!
I submitted my application in over a week ago and the wait is killing me!
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
