I do always feel that the Mersey Rail lines could be a bit more over the top and have more than three so as to, not only simplify lines but to show different services along the same track - imo the case over the Wirral Line going to places with different identities

A number of Northern stations near me have recently had their lampposts and handrails all repainted in Northern corporate colours. Is there any particular reason for this considering how close we are to Arriva taking over?

The BBC video that is on the BBC News Site about the boarders railway refers to concerns over the trains reliability; surely this is a silly concern since the sprinters which will be operating the route already operate across Scotland?

How long ago was it that they were last refurbished? They seem to still be quite good inside although it was last year when I last travelled on them.
