    ArrivaRailLondon driver details

Training is held at NXG (studs, depot induction, depot familiarisation, and class sessions all count as part of the training which are all held at NXG when you leave Swiss cottage). Also the driving hours (shed, shunts, day and night driving) all count as part of the training to be honest.

    ArrivaRailLondon driver details

Hello Saffa, No question is ever a silly question 8-). In regards to the days off (depending on the link you are in cos they have 4 links in NXG), they do roster them together 98% of the time on the base roster which runs for 48 weeks approximately. I am familiar with NXG (new cross gate) links. It's a 4 day week roster that averages out to 35 hrs a week after a couple of weeks. You get 6 days off every 4 weeks On the roster, longest working days on a trot is 6 days To get the long weekend (6 days off at once), you work 6 days, get six...

What to do? Passengers on train talking about not having valid tickets

You need to remember there are people employed to do this job. There are also CCTVs and covert systems in place at the barriers to ensure fare evaders are caught (railforum even has a section dedicated to people caught by revenue inspectors). Finally, we are not sitting back and validating it...

What to do? Passengers on train talking about not having valid tickets

You think they won't know it was you that tipped a member of staff about them not having a ticket? Good luck with that  To be honest, you need to realise not having a ticket is not part of "see it, say it, sorted", so try to mind your business and enjoy your journey.

MTR Crossrail old oak vs Arriva Rail London new cross

I have worked for both companies and can confirm the following: The roster pattern for MTR is better than NXG Both depots have secured parking NXG has a night link separate from the normal link, but MTR has this incorporated into their roster Choose wisely
