If a trainee position came up in my home town, tomorrow, next month, next year and I am already doing my 10 weeks or handling hours at a depot somewhere further away. Would it be possible to transfer to my closer depot if they need drivers and continue training there?

From what I’ve read it’s a basic DBS. If you’ve got any unspent and undeclared convictions on there it will show. Any spent ones won’t.

No no no get it quick as in elapsed time. But long as in getting from start to finish and the not knowing etc. similar to ‘it’s been a long day’

Been a long process from the initial application, job of a lifetime and a life changing job. I’ll feel secure when I get a contract.

Sorry for the silly questions. Just had an email saying my OPC results have been received, but it says I may be put into a talent pool depending on when courses and if they are full. I was under the impression that passing all stages up to this point meant I wouldn’t be in a talent pool.

Is it different for different areas? I was told in my DMI rosters are weekly and released Friday afternoon.

    Earles Sidings

Thought so, cheers. Not worried I’ve been doing railway medicals for over 6 years now no issue. I wonder if they’ll ask for my dbs with me being internal not worried but I could speed the process by getting one ordered today

I’m an internal applicant, passed my psychometrics, just waiting on medical. Am I right in assuming after this I’ll be offered the role.

Evening folks. Quick one. I have my interview Thursday, I’m as prepared as I can be. Only I’m stuck on what I should ask at the end when they ask if I have any questions. I know about the company etc.. and feel my usual questions would be a bit weak for such a role. thanks in advance.

I think a lot will have been weeded out by distance, it will also make the process a bit more streamlined with regards who goes to the assessments and the long periods between assessment days. If the manager feels you’re a fit for his team and you have scored the required mark on the interview...

Yeah I was thinking that too. Be a bit rubbish to pass the psychometric exams and fail the managers interview. Good luck to you too!
