The M&S £2 meal deal at stations is a bargain. If people are being made redundant by the withdrawal of the dining cars, and I am sure that is the long term plan, that is the real tragedy.- M7

Great pity NXEC has withdrawn the vast majority of dining car services. The dining car on the 20.00 KX to Newcastle was always full when I travelled. You would have thought they could have kept the dining car on the 12.00 KX to Inverness, just over 8 hrs. I cannot see Cross Country starting a...- M7

Grand Central Trains?
Travelled Sunderland to London return this week with Grand Central 1st off peak senior return £65.35 which is very cheap as it was only booked a few days in advance. Problem with earlier train meant we all had to bundle onto 12.50 Northern Trains to Hartlepool where our GC train was waiting...- M7
