Well, Stagecoach's announcement on their website says (my emphasis):-
So it looks like operator branding, if it appears at all, will be very much secondary to the Metro brand.
One other point I'm curious about is ticketing. Merseytravel says that operator-specific tickets will no longer be...
No 8 cars out on Ormskirk-Hunts Cross since Wednesday, and none out today despite Everton playing at home. Not even any “Cressington skippers”. Which suggests they are still having problems with the SDO.
There are fares showing in BRFares from 1st September, but I hope the quoted fare of £9,016 for a Day Return from Bewdley to Birmingham Moor Street is incorrect!

If RTT is to be believed, there is an 8-car formation out between Ormskirk and Hunts Cross today. 0621 OMS-HNX, 0721 HNX-OMS and then pattern repeating every two hours until the 1921 Hunts Cross-Sandhills, then empty to Kirkdale depot. Formed 777016+777053
It's gone very quiet on the subject of 8-car trains on the Hunts Cross line. But tonight I saw an 8-car test train stop at Aigburth at around 2130.
Curiously, although it was running in the usual test paths 5T60 and 5T61, there was no tracking at all on RTT - train was showing as "not...
Important to note when looking at Notices and Proceedings, that Liverpool City Region is now responsible for registering services wholly within the franchising area so these services will no longer appear in the Traffic Commissioner updates and will show as cancelled...
Eh? The trains were “just as busy” because the strike was called off and the previous planned timetable was fully reinstated. I doubt any RMT members in the Merseyrail union got an easy day’s work, as you claimed in your previous post.
Had the strike gone ahead there would have been only a few...
Liverpool Echo reporting the strikes have been called off:
No word on Merseyrail's website or social feeds yet that I can see. The Echo claims the "normal" (i.e. the special Golf timetable) will be restored, but I await confirmation from the TOC.

Now confirmed on Merseyrail's website...
Strike timetable for Saturday now in RTT. Shuttle services from Southport and Liverpool to Hillside before the golf and return journeys afterward. Nothing else running by the looks of it.

The Wirral Globe is reporting that RMT members at Merseyrail are planning to take strike action, which will affect travel to the Open Golf tournament in Birkdale.
I seem to remember there was strike action on a previous occasion the Golf was held at Birkdale, and the limited service that did...
There was an additional service to Ormskirk from Sandhills at 2046, formed of 022+037. Maybe it needed to be a little bit earlier to soak up the crowds.
It was pulled from service two days in a row with a "door fault" and seems to have not run since. Hopefully it won't be another 18 months...
Did they actually call at Cressington? There were extra services yesterday for a rugby event at Hill Dickinson Stadium but the 8-car services are shown on RTT as "service stop unadvertised" at Cressington.
Bit of a mess on the Wirral Line this morning. 0731 from Ellesmere Port (formed of 777028 according to RTT) terminated at Bebington with a door fault and as of now is still there with a queue of trains behind it. Bus replacements between Rock Ferry and Hooton.
Ahead of the expected heatwave, I noticed an interesting statement in Merseyrail's "Hot Weather Travel Advice" page:-
Is the above correct? If so, it's a bit of a change from all previous statements which have referred to the 777s as fully air-conditioned. Is this a bit of expectation...
