That set with the ETCS fitted has been a work in progress for the last 2 or 3 years. :rolleyes: Hopefully the rest of the fleet won't take quite as long! :lol: Eurostar want to run the 373's well into the 2030's.

Apparently the new fleet is delayed until 2034 at the earliest now! :rolleyes:

For passenger comfort the 373 is far superior. For reliability the 374 is far superior. For drivers the 374 wins hands down for comfort and reliability. They could have done a better job in making the 374's more comfortable for passengers but at least they're more likely to get you to where...

I get you. The e320's are 100% more pleasant from a drivers POV though! #Selfish :lol:

They take drivers with 3yrs + mainline experience. The rest is down to you.

Usually seniority. If they run an SNCB course and you're next on the list you're expected to be on it....unless you have a good excuse.

It didn't happen much in the past but there has been/will be a fair few retiring, so it will become more common, at least for a few years.

After the 18-24 months.

Rough figures.... - Start on 73k for around 3 months - 80k once domestically qualified - 82k after language training - After 18 to 24 months from start date, 89.5k once fully qualified - After 3 years or SNCB validation, 92.5k

Usually around 18-24 months from day 1 to being qualified to drive to Paris solo.
