There is still many lines in Nottinghamshire that are not being used. Of course the High Marnham to Thoresby colliery junction is now in use with Network Rail as their RIDC and after spending up to 100 million pound and replacing 5+ miles of sleepers and tracks, i hope it stays used and open...
i prefer railworks now. watch out though as add ons cost you money aswell for example to download the 66 itll cost you around £9.99. I like railwors as you get show many other computer controlled trains passing you when on a scenario and if you run late, other trains will take your time slot.
update on the timings and information:

Same route, it leaves toton just before 6:00 in the morning and arrives in the possession at Thoresby at around 07:00. Then usually leaves the possession in the afternoon between 15:00 - 17:00 depending on the day as some days this may be earlier. As for Saturdays now they operate it between...

Saw 60085 'mini - pride of oxford' hauling a set of network rail ballast wagons out of the Network rail test track at Edwinstowe on Friday 2nd April. Good to see as even when high marnham powerstation was open, they hardly made an appearance.
Hi the NR ballast cleaning set is being used and stored at tuxford. The line between Thoresby Junction and High marnham powerstation is being used as a new test track. Since November 2009 and for the next few months the line will be under possesion for ballast cleaning works, track replacement...
