Hey jim. Hang in there man. I am recovering from a brain hemmorhage/stroke. It`s been a long road, these last 4 years, but, i`m getting there. In my experience, children, seem to be the biggest fighters. Looking at those pictures, in a short while, you`ll be be looking back on it all, thinking...
Does anyone have a picture of the railway bridge, across white lane in chapeltown. It led, from the old GCR station. I can`t seem to find anything, anywhere.
Thought so. Where was the entrance? There must have been a station house, booking office, waiting room, etc. Do any photos exist, anywhere?

Read in a book today. All traces of westwood station, dissapeared, when the area was landscaped in 1978.
The railway`s, are like a foreign country to me these day`s. I know, i sound like an old record, but, while still in BR ownership, the railway`s were fun. No problems with photo taking, you could go, virtually, anywhere on a station.
Ah, Doncaster. I had some good spotting days here. When the Deltics still ruled. In fact, I gave up railways, when the Deltics were withdrawn. Saw some photos of Doncaster plant. Very sad indeed. I have some pictures, of when I was on a visit. The class 50s were being refurbished.
Ah. Thanks a lot. I have been looking in the wrong place. I thought, it was in the clearing, where the line used to go. It used to go under the A61, then, a short stretch of wood, then a clearing, then back to woods. There are also some abutments along here. That is what has got me baffled.

Seen this thanks. This station, seems to have totally disappeared. There are some pics in the "rails through Barnsley" book. It's the exact location I wanted really.
Does anyone know the exact location of this station? Better even, would be some photo`s. I have searched this area, but, there has been so much land disturbance. it`s hard to get a fix.
